Principal Judge Conducts Ad Hoc Inspection of Luweero Courts

The Principal Judge, Lady Jane Frances Abodo, yesterday conducted an impromptu inspection of courts under Luweero High Court Circuit as part of ongoing efforts to maintain close engagement with court stations and ensure effective service delivery to the public.

At Luweero Chief Magistrates Court, she was received by HW Tindyebwa KingiAdyeeri, who briefed her on the day-to-day operations of the court and provided an update on the station’s performance.

During the visit, several operational challenges were identified, including unreliable electricity and limited fuel for the generator, which have affected the smooth operation of the Electronic Court Case Management Information System (ECCMIS).The Principal Judge also noted constraints in office and courtroom space, as well as concerns regarding staff attendance.

Speaking during the inspection, Lady Justice Abodo emphasized the importance of maintaining functional and responsive courts despite existing challenges. She stressed the need for accountability and consistency in service delivery, while reiterating the Judiciary's commitment to improving working conditions and addressing the concerns raised.

The visit forms part of ongoing initiatives by the Chambers of the Principal Judge to strengthen performance, enhance supervision of court operations, and ensure that justice is delivered in a timely and efficient manner across the country.
